Seriously though, it is so difficult to call. So much can happen in the next month - let alone until the Olympics or the start of the playoffs.
I like your picks, but the Caps and Pens aren't slouches in the East, while San Jose can't be counted out in the West. Other teams in each conference are making some noise and as evidenced by the Hurricanes seemingly unlikely Stanley Cup championship several years ago, the actual champ may not be any that I've listed.
I usually wait until the playoffs begin before I make my picks. I'm usually wrong anyway.
