My father has a 93 gmc serria 3/4 with the 6.5 turbo diesel. all summer the truck ran great but as soon as the cold weather got here if the truck isnt plugged in 24/7 it will NOT start even with starting fluid. now for the past 3 years there has been ALOT of blow by comin up the dipstick pipe which we know isnt good and means the rings are just about fried the engine has just about 280,xxxkms on it 4x4 wheel drive we use it as a plow truck and we need it when it snows also even when its plugged in it will start but if u shut it off even after it running for 7 hours and try and go start it 5 mins later u need starting fluid or it wont start. i was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out with this so we can get this good working truck back up and going .
