My boyfriend has a 97 ford ranger. he just got the a tune up, replaced the catalytic converter, exhaust and all that, new plugs and wires. spent over 1000 dollars. now his truck wont start. i believe he said it ticks when he tries to get it to run. he can however jump it by parking it on a hill and letting it roll. his dad said it might be a solenoid. pretty sure its not the battery because we just replaced that less than two years ago with a brand new one. we tried charging it and the truck still wont start.
so for my guys...or gals out there that know about trucks, do u think it could be a solenoid?

how much would the new part cost?
