starting problems 1998 chevy tahoe 2 door 5.7l?

the motor turns and turns especially when cold. and when it starts it will be really rough for a couple of seconds. once i get it on the road it runs like a dream, just start ups cause problems. i will get check engine lights for system too rich and for random/multiple misfires. any help would be greatlly appreciated. thanks alot

check engine light on by the info you left i would clean the injectors

Dirty injectors or map flow sensor going bad. (Running too rich and flooding engine at cold start) If you are pumping the gas when you start it you could be flooding it. Try it without touching the gas and see how it does.
