Stating the obvious, double meanings, sarcasm. Nobody seems to get my humor?

okay, for example: my dentist found a scratch on my gums. it would've been funny if she asked "have you been eating anything lately?" rather than explaining scratchy foods/ etc.
i don't know.
i'm sort of sassy and sometimes flirty.
i'll say a lot of things with double meanings, that not a lot of people seem to get.

i wish i could come up with some better examples lol.
well why do you think most people don't understand? do you kind of?
what do you find amusing?

i'm sort of unconventional, and don't watch tv, so i don't mimic lines from movies or anything.

I do understand and I do find it amusing. It's especially funny when people say things like that ans don't even realize it, as your dentist would probably be doing if she said that.
