Still sore and swollen after boil has burst?

I had this huge boil/carbuncle about the size of your thumb-pad, anyway after a day or so I was able to squeeze a small amount of pus out. Well its been a few days and its still sore and swollen, I have been using hot epsom salt compresses but nothing has changed and there is no visible head. It also feels deeper, did I make it worse by squeezing? What do I do now?
