Would buy a used 250 ninja to start out & take the motorcycle safety course + I think they look like a lot of fun. Never had the money as a kid to get a dirt bike but riding my bicycle around the neighborhood / town growing up was probably my favorite activity to do if that would influence anything. But the idea of wrecking or getting hit by a driver on their cell phone scares the hell out of me. I feel im to young to get paralyzed (20 years old) But for the most part I'll just ride to school (10 mile commute) & just hit higher speeds on straight aways. Do these bikes like example cbr 600rr really lose traction as easy as say hitting some gravel or a wet spot around a small corner at 30 mph ? Cus if so I don't think its worth the risk. Hopefully one day I'll be able to afford a shelby super snake or a porsche haha. Well just tell me what you think THANKS
The commute to school would be the only time I just wear jeans instead of the leathers because walking around all day in leathers going to class & stuff would be way to hot. The road is in good condition & rather safe not to many accidents on it

I would go with an older cbr! or even a newer cbr 250. Those babies are BULLETPROOF!

Buy the Ninja 250. It takes off easy but makes useable power from around 4000 RPM up and cruises well at highway speeds. It is a fun bike to ride, but not enough to really get away from you until you gain experience, and if you don't damage it you can sell it and recoup your money when you move up. Always be aware of your surroundings and look at other drivers approaching you at intersections to make sure they see you, and be ready on the horn and brakes if you see trouble ahead. If you see trouble, you should be able to avoid it as the Ninja is quite nimble.
