That sounds pretty good. Neon tetras being very small fish don't need as much space as most tropical fish, and they get along well with guppies. Also shrimp don't add very much to the bio load of a tank, and are very nice to help keep the tank clean. The thing is neons and shrimp can be pretty sensitive. You wanna make sure your tank is cycled, and ready for them. Cherry shrimp are pretty hardy as shrimp go, I would add them before the neon tetras. Once your tank has adjusted from adding the shrimp it should be ready for the tetras.

im new to this, I have already got three male guppies ive had them for 4 weeks and im meant to be getting another type of fish on friday, ive researched it all and this is what I would like to have:

3 male guppies,
4 red cherry shrimp,
and 5 neon tetras

my questions are, is this group good and not overdoing the bioload, and which should i get first, the neon tetras or the red cherry shrimp?

I have a sponge filter, 3 plants, an ornament, gravel and a heater... i keep the water at a steady 24 degrees, and 7.0 PH... thanks!!!
lol, no i love shrimp, they really interesting, thanks~!!!
