I have one male rabbit that i keep in my room in a three story condo made out of neat idea cubes. When i get home to let him have the run of my room he usually just runs under the bed and chews on the wood. Its not to much of a problem because he doesn't chew the legs, just the underneath and they're are many layers of thick pieces of wood supporting the mattress. I would rather have him stay out in the open though, where i can socialize with him, and i was thinking of training him. All he is does though is lay under the bed for about an hour and then actually comes out to roam around and sit with me on my bed. I want him not to go under the bed anymore, as eventually he will manage to chew through the wood under the bed. I know not to slap him, but the whole stomping and yelling thing just captures his attention for a moment and when i'm done he sneaks right back under the bed. I have thought of getting a high pitched whistle to blow when he goes under the bed but i really don't have any other ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
