I have been looking everywhere for this recipe and every one I have found is too fancy and has way more ingredients then I want. I have had Stuffed bell peppers before where they have had rice, ground beef, corn, tomatoes, onions and they are baked in tomato sauce. Does anyone know a simple recipe for this like how long to bake it for or what other spices to put in it? Please and thank you for any help you can give me!

I just make a meat loaf mixture and add some instant rice to it
cheese can be added and you can top it with tomato sauce if you like

The classic way I was taught by my german ancestors: but I'm not sure what nationality the recipe really is...

Cut the tops off 4-6 green peppers and a very little bit of the bottom so that they stand upright in the pan. 1 lb ground beef browned. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 teasp Italian seasoning to the ground beef as it finishes cooking. Soften 1 medium chopped onion in a teaspoon of oil. When translucent add 1-2 clove of chopped garlic. Add 2 cups cooked rice to everything and a third cup of ketchup. Add 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese to the stuffing mixture. Mix all. Stuff peppers with hot mixture. Place in a glass pan. Pour a small can of tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers, cover and bake 40-50 min 350 degrees.

You can go mexican by adding 1 tablespoon chili powder and1/2 teaspoon cumin in place of the italian spices and then add the corn.

We always uncovered for the last 10 minutes and added extra shredded cheese to the top. Serve with bread crumbs toasted in butter.
