subaru 2.5 i impreza is good?

i have an accident before , i hit black ice and then hit the guiderail.
my car is total lost. my old car is 2009 matrix awd.

i'm thinking to buy subaru 2.5 i impreza
i'm in toronto, there is much snow.

i don't know if this car fits me for safety ?
or vw rabbit is better?

the 2.5rs would be better because it also is all wheel drive which would help a lot in snow

the vw golf is front wheel drive, its ok in snow
