OK! my wife just went through a taco bell drive through got a little tongue tied on the order and made a comment about being a little brain dead tired (from riping and running all day with the boys) when she gets to the window, she's handed half of our food and told to enjoy her dope. The taco bell employee slams the window after that.

My wife is outraged after hearing her comment, she excessively repeats excuse me until she is loud enough that anyone within fifty feet of her could hear her!!. The taco bell employee ignores her for about half a minute all the while my wife continues to try to get her attention.

When the employee comes to the window she denies the comment saying I said enjoy your day (mind you this at eleven o'clock P.M.) as if my wife heard her incorrectly.

That's not what my wife wanted, all she really wanted was an apology. My wife tells her since she is going to dance around it she is going to call her boss so he can sort it out.. when she gets home we realize that we only have half of our food.. So she calls to tell them about the order of course and she is greeted by a manager so what better time than to address the food and the comment.

The manager states that she was right there when the comment was made (big surprise) and that the employee said have a nice day (predictable) ... Well here's a good one if your a manager of any establishment and a situation is brewing right in front of your eyes you would take care of the situation considering that is apart of what you are being paid to do right? ... hmm I'm guessing that's a bunch of bull too.

Well! Long question short I have never seen my wife so hurt, so humiliated, so angry as long as I have known her and I have been married to her for a gazillion years. I even left her for three consecutive years with three kids (Two in diapers) to run off to Iraq and fight.. And STILL!....she wasn't this pissed off.. I know she's not crazy, I know she's not lying, she has better things to do with her time than argue with taco bell employee's.. I know they aren't owning up or showing any remorse for the tasteless comment.. I spoke with the manager and they are clearly hiding it, tap dancing around it and not making any sense and most importantly not apologizing even if it was a misunderstanding an apology could have turned all of this mishap around .. so can we hold them accountable for the slander ???...

You know what pisses me off the most about all of this? My wife just happened to drop the boys off so she could go grab a bite to eat. If only they could have been there to hear their mother be called a crack head. At first it wasn't a big deal now it is.. if you make a mistake and offend someone that's one thing but at least have the decency to apologize..

You could contact the taco bell company itself to report the ill mannered employee with an irresponsible manager.

1. The people working there are-- for the most part not mature-- still in high school and can be ignorant.
2. You went there at 11. I worked at fast food and at 11 PM there are quite a few pot heads, drunks, etc. ordering fast food.
3. I understand your situation, but the way you are acting does sound immature just let it go.

I worked 5 years as a fast food drive-thru cashier.

They forgot half your order, that can happen and it sometimes does.

The rest of it that your wife alleged happened, probably didn't. Fast food managers RARELY defend employees. They usually fall all over themselves apologizing and give the customer lots of food and your money back and everything... unless the customer was terribly rude. It seems like in this case your wife was bent about something, took it out on the cashier, and then complained about her own attitude just with a new spin on it. I took so much shit from people and their misguided anger in the 5 years I did drive-thru while I was just being polite and trying to keep the line moving. I've had people threaten to kill me, people throw food and trash at me, people throw drinks at me, some guy with a gun mumbling under his breath and his kid in the seat next to him... yeah.

If indeed the employee was at fault then karma will get them. It always does.
