It's a 2004 Ford SUV with 55k miles. About 2 months ago, my repair shop recommended brakes and rotors all the way around. I believe the verbage they used was "down to one tenth." There is nothing unusual that I've noticed; no squealing and the stopping ability is as good as it's ever been.
Anyway, they wrote an estimate for around $1,100. My stepfather told me he would do the job this coming Spring (I'll buy the parts and save about $700). I have a December inspection. Will the brakes be an issue at inspection?
