suv jumps when you brake. something 2 worry about?

Just got it, used, when i stop, it is a small jerk after braking. Is it something to worry about while i have a warranty. Oh, it is a 2000 honda passport. one previous owner, still in good shape but worried about the little jerk. am i over reacting???

Probably fine, but it could be warped rotors. If so, it'll get worse eventually - so if its still under warranty, it couldn't hurt to take it in to have it looked at before the warranty expires.

I am assuming the ABS light is not on. This used to happen on much older cars when the brakes were applied they stopped immediately or jerk a little as you say. It could be a problem with the Automatic Braking System. Take it to a shop for a look. It is not normal for cars of that year.
