I have a phone that's been messed up due to water damage. I bought a new used phone however. I want to activate it and I found out you can do it online except...when I signed up, they couldn't send me the password cause my phone doesn't turn on. So can I just go into the Verizon store and they'll switch me no problem? Is there just a way for me to switch phones with no fee? (And I also keep my number right?) Thanks!
The phone is Verizon compatible. I'm just afraid to fully activate the phone, I have to call it with my old phone (I presume that's how it works), however my phone barely turns on.
When I call in to switch the phones for the ESN number, does it have to be my contract phone or can it be a landline or just another phone? That's the only thing I'm really worried abuot.
