T-Mobile Locked?

I wanna purchase a phone online and it says its T-Mobile Locked. Does that mean I can use it with T-Mobile?

The phone will only work on the T-Mobile network. Not all cell phones/companies are compatible. T-Mobile uses a little chip in the back of the phone.

Yes. That means you can only use the phone with the T-Mobile service. However, say you want to switch to At&t or something. First make sure the phone is compatible with the band(s) the company uses (At&t uses 850mhz & 1900mhz in usa) and find a cellphone shop that unlocks cellphones.
