T-mobile pay as you go?

Can I buy a T-mobile pay as you go phone and just stick my current SIM card in it? My phone was stolen and even though I had insurance on it T-mobile pretty much told me to go stuff myself.

yes if its a tmobile or an unlocked phone that will take a sim card
