ones the best? Ok so I've had my cell phone for almost 2 years (it'll be 2 years this March) and my cell phones battery broke 4 months ago. Meaning it only works when hooked up to the charger, then it'll only last for about 30-40 minutes off the charger before it dies on me. I go to the T-Mobile store, and they tell me that I had to wait until March before I could get a new phone, otherwise I'd have to pay full price. The crappiest phones they showed me were like $200, and I'm talking the phones were real garbage. Meanwhile all the phones I wanted were like $400-600. So I realized, it only costs $200 to get out of my contract and like $100 for a new phone provider contract, with a brand new phone (this was something that took place 4 months ago). Meaning I'm saving between $100-300 bucks. Anyone know of a GOOD provider that doesnt try and screw their costumers??

Where does a phone company "draw the line" on early upgrades - They pretty much have to stick to their dates, although if you have been a customer for many years, most will give a little wiggle room - I'd try calling T-Mobile, ask to talk to customer retentions - Since you are only a month away you might get some satisfaction if you tell them you want to cancel your contract to go to a different provider.

Your other option, go on ebay, you can probably find a replacement battery for your phone for around $10-$15, shipping.included.

I, too, have had issue with t-mobile and it seems that verizon is a really, really good one. My fiance had verizon with his last company, and it was impressive service. His job took him to various places around the US and sometimes to rural areas and he always had service. He was also was able to hook his laptop into his phone and get fantastic internet service from rural areas as well. My vote is BYE t-mobile and HI verizon! good luck!

BTW, his new company is on ATT and our calls are dropped CONSTANTLY. It doesn't matter where he's calling me from, we get cut off. It happens all the time! He's always wishing he was back with verizon!

You shouldn't have to pay $200 to get out of your contract. How much longer do you have on it?

Well, if you want to wait it out and it's not too long, you can buy a pay as you go T-mobile phone and use it with your sim card. They SAY it won't work (they're not allowed to say anything else in the T-mobile store), but actually they do. I've done it more than once. My exchange student lost like 3 phones and we kept getting her a cheap $20 replacement from Target.

When I left T-mobile, I went with Straight talk. The price is great, though they have an underwhelming selection of phones. Still, I will never go with a contract phone again. They seriously try to screw you! They are desperate to get people stuck with contracts because they know that eventually much better contract-free choices will be out there and they want to get you signed so you have no choice.

By the way, my boyfriend has Verizon and hates it - can't wait til he can bust outta his contract.

Good luck.
