T-mobile texting to canada question?

I have a friend that lives in canada and i have t-mobile a family plan with unlimited texts so i was wondering if it costs extra for me to text him?
 
Yeap that would be consider international texting to Canada. You will be charged for each message sent and receive to and from Canada. Your unlimited texting is only within the United States only.
 
SENDING text to canada could be .20 cents per text. RECEIVING messages FROM canada comes out of your messaging bucket so no charge. however to be sure i would call customer service and verify with them that on your plan there will be no charge to send or receive to canada.
 
How sure are you guys about this? Cause i'm having the same problem and i've read sooo many different stuff about it!
