of human history combined.? Average fast-food/supermarket chicken is raised in just 50 days. The US eats over 8 billion chickens per year.

Assuming that chicken population increased on the same scales as human population, i think it would be true. Even if you say human history started in 100,000 BC! (though i think it'd be pretty close)
 
Well, for starters, the chicken population was 15,853.9 million heads in 2002 alone, with similar numbers (although) slightly lower dating back 3-4 years.

Looking at this, this seems highly likely.
