...Christians stop threatening atheists? I like tacos, but sometimes I want a burger from McDonald's. At least I don't have to worry about being roasted alive for eternity if I eat a burger though.
I don't threaten people. But the truth is the truth if you believe it or not. Just because you don't believe in Hell doesn't mean it's not real. If you're in the mood, why not taste and see that God is Good.
(try something better than fast food.....like Applebee's or Olive Garden.)
Conversely, why do non-believers continually "threaten" Christians with the finality of the grave?
There are no threats being hurled, from either camp...Each,is simply sharing belief, one with the other.
If the argumentation and sharing of beliefs is considered specious at best,by an opposing, unconvinced listener, why would it be discomforting in the least?
Just some random thoughts...If one is secure in belief, then even an often repeated opposite view, will not feel threatening...

Those who have ears let them hear.......No one is threatening atheists at all. as a matter of fact, people preach the word of God out of love for their fellow man and to make sure that they are also able to avoid eternal damnation. Plus its what God instructed them to do. In life there is crime and punishment and there are always consequences for our actions. That's why on the last day, all those who have not believed, nor lived a good life, and are not repentant WILL BURN IN ETERNAL FIRE THAT BURNS WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE. God loves us so much that he gave us choices. You can choose not to listen to God and keep sinning and burn in hell if you like.
In life we have choices.....no one can make you do what you don't want.
How is telling you the truth in love a threat?
If I keep my mouth shut about what's coming for you someday then shame on me........it's my duty as a believer in Christ to share the love of Jesus with you.
Would you let your child run into a lit fireplace??
honestly, you can be an atheist and either get roasted alive by the christians in this world or by G-d in the next. hee hee. assuming you believe there is a next world.
as for the taco bell/ mcdonalds, you deff gave some food for thought here lol. so, its a dispute. which restaurant has better advertising? they will get your business. which religion or lack of it caters better to your life? they will get your business. its all in the ads. i am neither an athiest nor christian, those ads dont reach me. enjoy your happy meal in this world and the next.
Ronald does not threaten you if you eat tacos either, and Christians are not threatening atheists, in their own peculiar way they are warning them and attempting to help them save their soles.
We dnt force anyone, k??? We just warn you cuz its 4 ur own good. The bible says no one will enter heaven with sin in him. You need to prepare yourself b4 jesus comes cuz he will nt take someone with sin. He makes d rules, nt u n plus when was d last time a christian knocked on ur door n forced u to believe, we simply tell u, if u like u believe n if u like dnt believe, its d end dat counts anyway. When u will b frying in hell n worms coming out of ur mouth, hears, eyes, etc dnt say we didnt warn.
I am a Taco Bell-ian (though I have been known to stray)
Christians argue that an atheist, or other non-believer, is like someone in the street when a big truck baring down on them, a 'responsible' person would warn them of the danger. Thereby, it is christian's duty to tell the atheist of the danger of Hell, just as it is a bystander's duty to tell the guy about the truck.
What they don't get about this analogy is that the truck is real. Everyone can see the truck, the consequence of ignoring the truck is obvious, etc. Meanwhile, the christian truck is a magical invisible truck that is really nice even though it will kill you, and if you tell its your heart desire, it will give it to you... maybe. Meanwhile, 1000 other people are telling you about their magical invisible truck, bus, etc.
The funny thing is that God punishes those with knowledge of God, and his laws much worst, than atheist for the same wrong. Most Christians just want you to believe as because they don't want to feel like the only one in the room yelling. Some just want you to be in the same boat they are in.
