I have been entertaining and cooking for every holidays for the past 18+ years i.e. Easter, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, etc. I have tried to get others to help out but it falls on deaf ears.

My Dad is elderly & my in-laws are in their mid 70s. But both my sister and sister in law don't want anything to do with it. They will do anything it takes to get out of it.

I attempted to stay home with just my family for Christmas but it fell like a bomb. My Dad got angry and my in-laws didn't say anything. I have health issues & would just like to have a restful day for a change. But none of them don't seem to care. At the same time, I am sensitive so if they say something, I give in - not my strongest point.

How do I get others to help out so I can get a break and go somewhere else for a holiday meal starting next year?
