Tell me if my modified peanut butter bar recipe will work?

Here's the original recipe-
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal

Here's what I plan to do b/c f lack of ingredients-
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
NO brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
2 c. oven toasted quick oats OR I can make actual oatmeal from the oats...

Will that work? I need answers ASAP!
