I'm getting a new phone, but I'm a bit confused. I dont understand how roaming works. My parents have kept me on prepaid ever since I had a cell, now im switching to a 3 year plan. I dont want any surprise amounts on my bill, so could someone tell me how roaming works. Does my phone get charged if i drive through a roaming zone, or do i have to use my phone in a roaming zone to get charged.? Please help.
