I bought my boyfriend a smart phone for christmas and they set him up on this data plan (we were on a different contract before). it included emails, texts, all that. we got the bill and it was way too much. so, i called and asked if we could lose some features. i asked to get rid of the email and messenger functions, since we pay $20 a month for that. She said ok, but now you will pay $30 for each megabyte. i ask what that means, and she says, when you use email and stuff, it takes up megabytes. (i think that is the term?). i say, ok well we wont use email or messenger, or any of those functions, then we will be ok right. she says ya and takes the package off the phone.
we get our bill today and it is $250. it turns out every time he turns his phone on, even when he only uses it for talking, it takes up megabytes. I feel like they screwed me over by not telling me this. I dont want to pay this. The idea was to SAVE money! what do i do?
