TELUS texting in the US - does it cost more?

I'm going on a roadtrip for 10 days in the US and I am curious to know, I have unlimited texting with Telus, but being in the US will it charge me ? Or will I even get to text message, because I'm with Telus and that isn't in the states... ? let me know
