I need to write a term paper (probably about 10 pages) on the internet prior to the start of the 21st century. Any suggestions for a thesis statement, or some sort of narrowing down of this topic will be greatly appreciated, as I'm feeling somewhat clueless and will be open to any idea. For those who care I'll be sure to pick a best answer (assuming that not every answer is completely ridiculous).
