I am sure that most people heard about this, Texas decided to stay in the Big 12 and not leave for the Pac-10, They claimed that they stayed for the "Fan Experience" and the "Regional Match Ups" which ironically were also following had they moved. And they claimed that it was a long term decision.

While most people say that Texas came out the big winner here since they renegotiated their TV contract with the Big 12, I don't think people are making a point of how weak the league will be, the Big 12 is also losing their championship game which people are also saying that it will be one less road block for Texas/OU to reach the Championship Game. But I see it in a different way, I think that the new 10 team system is so weak that even if Texas or OU went undefeated a 2 loss pac10/SEC/big10 team has a better chance and position to be voted into the championship game which is really what all texas fans want ?! To be honest their schedule will be so weak that in time recruits will look to that and say I would rather go some where else and have the opritunity to play better teams.

What do you think? Is this a valid point or am I just looking at the whole thing wrong? Because they say they did it for their fans but I only see it for the 20 million check they will be getting every year.
