I have a BBM contact. But when she SMS's me they still come though as a bbm. the ringtone and the icon and everything. It doesnt even appear in the sms. Why is this and how can i make it come through as an sms?
That can be one of two things. Either they are sending you a PIN message, which is what Blackberry Messenger is. That is what it sounds like, they just need to send the message via SMS to your number, and not your PIN number that may already be set as a default.
Or you need to filter your folders so all messages don't come in as one.
Go to messages, press Menu button, go to options, General options, scroll down to SMS and Email inboxes and make sure it is set to seperate.
If that is not the case, try a hard reset by pulling your battery for 15 seconds, and let it boot back up.
