I NEED to do something with myself and get out more and speak French and feel more positive so with all the advice already given, I have my last set of questions to help guide me then I'm set.
I really do need to find work for more reasons than one. I will be taking WISE OWL and stargaz advice however, I have a few more things to ask and then I think i'm done with bombarding Y!A with annoying questions on french job hunting.
I have been given advice by my partner to advertise on all the websites that offer people to post 'work wanted', I guess all the gumtree equivalent sites in France. So;
-advertise work wanted in English or French? I can't write decent French.
-what job agencies should I submit my CV to besides from monster and pole-emploi or they are really the only ones? send CV in English or French? My boyfriend can't write good English to translate and can't afford a translator.
-what kind of work could I possibly do that doesn't require a drivers license and basic-decent French?
-i really don't trust anybody with my kid so if i wanted to look for babysitter type job, they wouldn't let her be with me there? I would consider day care if the job was close by and could check up on her. I would want to have a live in position if I look in Paris and have her with me but don't think that's possible.
I have experience in: fast food/cafe - food prep, reception/data entry/admin/customer service, restuarants - service, hotels - room service/service. Also, in my country they like to hire people that are attractive (i'm no angelina but decent enough), often they discriminate (can't be proven certain circumstances) although I was once told I was too skinny to be a chef and looked too young ( I was 18 at the time) to serve alcohol as could damage the reputation of the company.
I'm short and quite thin, that's ok for France? New Zealand and Australia are both shallow in terms of hiring only certain ''looks'' that would bring more customers just to perve. I have customer service certificate and a statement showing I passed all except 3 modules in a hospitality (supervison) course and basic level of education all obtained in NZ.
Thanks again!
