OK, post pictures of your beasts here everyone

I have a rather unmanly fondness for small, very hairy dogs. I've owned a string of yorkshire terriers for over 8 years, and this is the most recent. His name is Susky.

Ok ,so I misread the thread title .

I don't have any beasts at all. I did however have my elbow nibbled by a dog in my office earlier today.

No, I've cried long and bitterly for each one after their little hearts finally pegged out

I have three puppies.

Duke is our grandpa. Duke and I have been together for about 8 years now. I picked him up from a rescue when his owners found out that Great Dane/Boxer puppies get very big.

Apollo and Ajax are from the same litter, but with different dads. We also got them from a rescue. The rescue saved their mom from a high kill shelter, whelped the litter, got the lot of them fixed and then found homes for them all.

Apollo:

Nearest guess for him is that he's a newfie/australian shepherd/flat coated retriever mutt. He's affectionately nicknamed Lil' Fatty.

His brother Ajax:

These are older pictures of the pups. They're actually 2 years old now. Ajax definitely has some Great Pyranees in him, as well as the australian shepherd and flat coated retriever from the mom, but we're not sure what else. They were cute puppies, though.

All in all, we have about 350lbs of dog, buy a lot of dog food and pick up a lot of dog poop!

Yeah. I don't know about over in the UK, but here in the States, we have somewhere on the order of 10million + dogs euthanized annually. I'd much rather keep one or two off of death row, than to purchase a puppy from a mill.

The trick, I think, is just not to tell them that they're mutts.

They're usually bigger and stronger than 'pedigree' dogs anyway. It's hybrid vigour. I had a collie cross labrador that was about twice the size of a normal labrador. On reflection, maybe his dad wasn't a collie after all.

lmao...i know, i did the same thing
my beasties are cats.. i'll have to post pics when i get home

We've got a cat at home, don't have any pics of her on my pc right now. Need to hook my digital camera up to it.

Oh and the first two dogs in the thread weren't porpper dogs, too small, and i recon my cat could easily have the yorkie in a scuffle. The other three dogs all looked cute and fluffy though.

Sorry dude, I did not mean to offend you. it was just a comedy aside, based on the English language rather than the passing of your pooches.

But sorry all the same.

Bummer bro, it sucks when the little critters pass away...

I was gone for some time and came home to find out my pup had broken free from the chain of my friend who was watching her to chase a squirrel, ran into the street and got hit by a truck, poor little thing
