If the religions claims that Jesus was God in human flesh, then that religion is from God; but if they say he was an ordinary human, sinless (however not God), or an illusion of a man, then they are not a religion from God. And that seems pretty simple to me.
But here's my issue. I'm a Catholic, and we definitely believe that Jesus was God in human flesh, but some of the things we do make me question if I should swap churches or not. Things like penance, the necessity of baptism, and the derived gospel from the Sacred Tradition (which only the pope and co. can access).
So, is it okay to be Catholic? Even though Catholics claim that Jesus was God in human flesh but have other flaws, is it still permittable to be Catholic?
