You don't have to love cats to love this video from The Cat of Immersion Project of 16-year-old Maga Barzallo Sockemtickem*finding joy in the midst of an otherwise harrowing solitary stay in a sterile room. Maga is a 16-year-old cancer patient at Seattle Children's Hospital who recently underwent a bone marrow transplant–something that requires weeks, sometimes months, of solitary confinement to a small, sterile room to avoid infection. She recently spent over seven months in one such room while waiting for her eventual transplant, and now is back in the same room for post-transplant treatment. Maga is not only cut off from her social networks there; she's also missing the comfort of her family pet, a cat named Merry. More »Post from: Blisstree
