ground air doesn't work.? I just replaced the resistor behind the glove box because the fan wouldn't shut off before and that seemed to work. Now I can control the the speed and shut it off but I still can't use defrost. When I turn the setting to anything, it still blows forward.
 
There is a control arm that shuts the flap in the mixing box to control where the air goes. The hook either came off the arm, or it is controled by an electrical switch that has gone bad. Get a Haynes repair manual. $20 well worth it.
