NBC is reporting that the New York City Marathon has been cancelled amidst growing discontent. So far, it's unclear whether the race has been postponed, or cancelled altogether, but the general concensus is that either way, the marathon simply shouldn't happen this weekend with so much of New York still suffering the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
