...seize the engine up? Light came on. I drove about a half mile. Stopped and bought oil ( it burns it). Came out to add oil, but found it didn't need any. Just had oil changed 2 days ago. Decided to get car home. Car stalled in lot while the clutch was in. It stalled again at about 30mph. Can't get it to start now. Tried jumping it just to rule it out. It tries to turn over but the pulleys barely move. Also engine seems to jerk a lot when you try to start it. It's kind of loud when I try to start it, like a banging noise. I suspect it's locked up, but not entirely seized. What do you think? Thanks for the help

That's exactly what happened to my car when it seized. A loud noise happened and it wouldn't run. See a mechanic, but I'm pretty sure that's what they'll tell you.

LMFAO sorry but I did the exact same thing to my POS Saturn...pretty much you are screwed and this will teach you not to buy a Saturn or at least not an older Saturn before GM really got a hold of them!

It is possible that you have locked the motor up, but the oil light coming on with the fact that you didn't NEED oil makes me question it. In some cases, the manufacturer has put in "safegaurds" for the programming in the computer to "limp" home, such as only allowing certain time periods of operation with a major problem. It could be that you have a false low oil reading so the computer will not allow the engine to run anymore. You also could have additional problems. To try and "unstick' a motor, pull the spark plugs and spray a good bit of WD 40 into the cylinders. Let is sit overnight and try again. Ensure that the battery is sufficiently charged as well. It may be something as simple as your starter is failing.
