Hi,
You have to replace the struts (the long shock absorbers).
They are kind of tricky to remove, because you have a clip on each end to deal with. Get a screwdriver and try to align the clip with the hole and just pop it off. Try many positions. It's ok to destroy them., because the new ones come with clips from the auto store. After many attempts I did it on an 80 pound cadillac hood. It hurt my back.
