Evolutionary theorist Alistair Clarke has identified the basic structure of all humour and jokes.
They are positive repetition, division, completion, translation, applicative and qualitatitive recontexturalisation, opposition and scale.
Is he trying to be funny? I must be dumb as I don't get it, can anyone explain this to me? Is it like the light bulb jokes? Jeeez....
