I have to write a paper for The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorn. The question I chose is on Roger Chillingworth and is a rather long question with many different parts to it (more so than the other available questions). There are some parts I don't understand however.
What was Chillingworth's motivation for choosing revenge on Dimmesdale and Hester rather than reveal himself as Hester's husband and what were his two sins and what are their effects?
Those are the two parts I need some help on, I pretty much have the rest under control.
