The scrollbar on my laptop (Pacard Bell) touch pad suddenly stopped working?

I just turned my laptop on and a little pop up about symantics device being installed/unistnalled (i cant remember) came up.. Idk,
This is the first time it's happened, never had trouble with my laptop before and I was wondering if there was something I could do to fix it?
