Jewish tradition holds that the time, times, and half is 3 1/2 which is a period of calamity, here when the Anti-Christ reigns. It also corresponds with 42 months, this is when Jerusalem is under siege. 3 1/2 also represents cutting short of a mission just as the Saviors mission was cut short by his trial and execution. Rev 11:9, 11
