The ship of the future vs Global warming?

can you please give me some information about this topic?
i need to make an essay about new ships' designs that can "adapt" better to climate changes. could you please give some related sites? anything. i'd really appreciate it.

The globe has warmed by about 0.7 degrees in the last 100 years and it's not accelerating. Why would ships need to adapt to that? If a ship works ok in todays climate, it will work fine in the climate of 100 years time. 0.7 degrees isn't going to make any significant difference.
