What is the most important lesson of The Stranger by Albert Camus? I have to write a paper for this, but I'm not exactly sure what the lesson is. The only thing I get from it is that there is no logical order or explanation for any action in the life of a person, which is evident when Meursault kills the Arab. Another example is the way in which his trial was right before the trial for the parricide. If they hadn't been so close together, maybe he would have escaped with a lighter sentence, which further demonstrates how erratic and irrational life is.
Am I right? Could anyone please give me suggestions for the moral of this story?
