hi i got this error while installing any program that the installer named (setup.exe) :
* the request to end the selected 16 bit task has timed out.the win 16 subsytem ma be unstable . press ok to terminate the win 16 subsystem or cancel to leave it running
- and the setup will not run
tried to check the (windows installer) service but is is started, tried to do everything from check disk to checking the .dll files, nothing workes .
- running windows 2000 professional SP4
- cant upgrade to windows xp because iam running some old programs
- cant format
