The words " I dont know you" seems to be the anthem amongest people these days...

...when forced to mingle and meet!? Why is it that folks are so damn scared to step outside of their comfort zone and interact with new people instead of hiding behind the words " I don't know you"?

No shit shirlock! How in the hell are people ever going to get to know a person when guarded all of the time. Its a damn shame that one can't interact with new people in the mall, grocery store or other public venue without having a third person introduce them. Mommy said to never talk to strangers! But, damn!! Grown folks seem to act this way as adults!
 
With experience comes knowledge and wisdom. Strangers have a past and you never know what kind of people they are. Some people judge by profession, community involvement, the way a person dresses, the way they act and how they speak and write. These are kinds of things that tell a lot about the kind of people they are.

With bad experience comes caution. Being friendly is one thing. Inviting them into your life without knowing more about them is quite another thing.
