...protect atheists? Since christians often use the silly bible quip that only fools don't believe in god. (of course a book that was invented to control you would say that)

GO!
@ Miss Mouse - No, I'm talking about discrimination laws for certain types of people. You are beginning to annoy me.

I know of no laws that protect Christians, other than the right to believe what you want. Everyone bashes Christians and they get away with it. But if anyone says anything about Jews or Muslims, they get their heads handed to them. Atheists don't believe anything so there is really nothing to protect.

There are laws to protect against religious discrimination. That would include atheists.

Most people tend to agree with Atheists and they don't need a law cause they don't get persecuted like the Christians do, and WHERE is there a law to protect Christians??? I haven't heard of any such thing any where!!!

Whoops! You got dis here backwards. Da A.C.L.U. loves Atheists and hates Christians.

God Bless Ya,

If Atheism will declare itself an organized religion then laws would protect it too.

Because if God is for you nothing can be against you. It doesn't pay to be an athiest. There is a place stored up for people that has nothing to do with God.

Do you live in America? I do. Here, we have the Constitution, which protects everyone, not just Christians. Where are you getting this information from?

There are, but sadly, more and more people are beginning to think that the Establishment Clause doesn't count. Or they have some weird interpretation like, "Well, you have freedom OF religion, but not freedom FROM religion."

Because most legislators, and voters, are christians. Atheists are not a preferred minority with politicians.

A few years ago, the KKK came to my city and placed flyers on people cars trying to get them to join their clan. Well they wanted to do a march and the police would have nothing to do with them. Said that if they were to go out and do a march, whatever happens to them will be on their head.

The point that I'm making, is this. Atheists wouldn't need any kind of protection if they would just live life with their disbelief to themselves instead of voicing opinions. And let's get real, most of the stuff they talk about is sarcastic, hateful and bitter. If you talk trash, than you should have the balls to stand up to whatever you believe in if someone decide to do something to you.
