Oh you're just not having a very happy Easter are you my little bunny. Copious amounts of chocolate in all it's forms are the only real cure.

Hope your back starts feeling better soon.

Thanks! I was just in the process of rewriting my routine, but there doesn't seem much point in doing that now!

Easter is sucking muchly at the moment! I think the moral of my story is for ultimate back health lift heavy and don't tidy the house!

Well considering this time I've put my back out was putting clothes away and the previous time was whilst doing the dishes, I would have to agree with you!

Possibly because there's a form to follow for the deadlift which has been developed to minimise the risk of injury? We get drilled in the efficient moving and handling stuff for work, lead with the head, try to keep your weight centered etc. (I'm not very good at it, have already got some lower back issues from years of performing restraints, so really should pay more attention to the whole thing). But yeah, it can be the little things done badly instead of the big things done well that knackers your back.

That's definitely the case here. I'm uber paranoid and careful in the gym, and even at home when I pick things up, unfortunately (and I should know better from experience) I'm less careful stretching over to put things on a shelf and now I'm reaping the rewards! OW!

As much as I would like to soak in a hot bath right now, I suspect that if I got in to one I'd never get out again. I'm settling for serial applications of my ladybird microwavable hot beanbag!
