Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

Man, when you're trying to instruct the new guy at sparring because he keeps ducking and running away, and he suddenly has a burst of courage for no reason and comes at you full force while you're talking and your hands are down. Ticked me off enough to hit him hard enough in the gut to knock him to the mat when he tried to duck and run again. Who the hell goes crazy sparring when somebody is sitting there trying to tell you something? Half of me is still ticked off, the other half feels bad for doing that to somebody new but I don't think a violation of etiquette to that degree should go unanswered.

Someone who is very new to fighting =P

newbies are always tricky. That's why i i usually grab their hands or arms and say Stop when i want to talk to them =P

I know its not actually sparring, but when its a newbies first fight, i let him hit me, contiguously telling him not to worry and i will not hurt him, and peppering him with shots every now and then so he can get a feel for the defense as well.

When your nose injury gets re-aggravated and busted from a sparring match that was supposed to be "light."

My friend that claims that grappling is useless in Self-Defense. His dad is a self-defense instructor. And thinks that he know everything about fighting...

Yeah, you might wanna drink your meals until you're well. Well, okay, not wanna, but it's the path of least resistance. The crap that's premixed at the grocery store in the frozen aisle is essentially a milkshake so not so healthy long-term, but it's delicious and you won't die immediately on it. If you go that route for a few days, gradually introduce solid food back into your diet. Your body can very quickly forget how to digest something if your GI tract is already weakened (as yours certainly is right now).

I hope you have someone to take care of you. A flat mate or somethin'.

It's probably lymph nodes. High heat with very gentle massages can help move lymph along when it becomes clogged during infections, but ya gotta be careful with it because it's easy to damage lymph nodes. Lymphatic massages are used pre and post surgery in some countries.

This is clearly way into the area of you need an MD though. A proper blood screening may be able to isolate the specific pathogen making you ill. Hopefully it's nothing and you just ate something bad that will pass through your system once your GI tract is done trying to purge all pathogens from it.

Here, I'll send you some e-hugs to speed your recovery.

My 3 year old is friends with a little girl at nursery that, shall we say, comes from a different strata of society compared to us?
And some of this little girls mannerisms are rubbing off on mine.
Last night when we said it was time for bed my daughter said "But I aren't tired!"
Oh dear...how do parents minimise how much of a bad influence other kids are?
