Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

The new guy at work came in today and made himself a cup of coffee rather that the whole team.

Not a mistake he will make again.

Call me anti-social but I hate that set up. I never make tea/coffee for anyone in my office. BUT in return I never want anyone to make me a tea or coffee either.
You want one...you make one.
When I want one I'll make one.

I'm the same. No one else is quite able to make tea or coffee exactly the way I like it.

My wife can't make tea taste nice. I have no idea what can go wrong with water, milk, tea bag & sugar.

Sometimes she says "I can't remember what cup has sugar in". She's only made two cups, how hard can it be?

My solution is when making said tea my cup on the left, hers on the right, but no, that is too hard.

Grrrrr.

I hurt that weak zone in my obliques *again*.

I could feel it tear whenever I threw a kick, but I'm too much of a macho douchebag to ask to rest and take care of it, lol. (should that be 'macha' for a female?)

At the risk of sounding anal, even small things can make a difference. I like my tea strong, so I pour the water on the tea bag as soon as it's boiled. I'll pour it so that the teabag puffs out from the air inside it heating and let it sit for a while after then squeeze the bag hard against the side of the cup. Letting it go off the boil, not pouring it directly onto the teabag, putting milk in the cup - all these things can change the way it tastes.

And with coffee it's different again. Even with the nasty instant stuff (hey, it still has caffeine!) pouring recently boiled water onto it can give it a more bitter taste. Leaving the kettle for 1-2 mins after it's boiled stops that.

Also - it sounds like you could do with "his" and "hers" mugs.

Something that makes me go grrrrrr.
Spending an hour doing an online shop with Waitrose only to have it encounter an error going through the checkout.
No other info. Just an unexpected error.
And I thought waitrose was posh nosh.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! I spent ages on the Origins website, looking for stuff for the missus for xmas, as I went to checkout, 3 of the 5 items I added to my basket had sold out!!!

I will make Bigmikey and Van Zandt go 'Grrrrr' when they find out I've nicked their arcade game rankings.

Supposed to start aikido tonight was looking forward to it all week, I suck at geography so had no idea where the place was and google maps lied to me, mate was too much of a dick to answer a "left or right" question and I just hurt my hand taking it out on my punchbag. Although it did put me in the right mood to finally dump my girlfriend so not all bad I suppose. Either way this is a crappy start to the weekend.

That's annoying SP.

Don't worry, God gave you elbows for the times when your hands are injured, get back on the bag

You sir, have an inappropriately timed sense of humor. If I wished for a critique of my emotional reactions I would have started a thread about them. As it is, I simply made an offhand comment in a thread started to allow posters to let off steam.

P.S. Yes, I probably sounded like something of an ass with that. I suppose I'm feeling like one at the moment, so that probably contributed towards my lack of humor. Regardless, my point stands.

Stupid DHL!

Had some xmas presents sent to work as I knew that I wasn't going to be in the house. Waited and waited, followed the tracking system, then at 3.24pm on a Friday afternoon, the tracking was updated saying that they couldn't deliver as no one was in to receive it, so they left a card...

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRM, there's about 30 people in this office, not including the receptionist in the building foyer and they had both my mobile and work number. I also saw no DHL van pull up outside and, yup, no card had been left..!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

EDIT: After being on hold (0844 number GRRRR) they told me that the sender had put my stuff on some 48 hour delivery, but 24 hour delivery parcels take priority, fair enough. However, the driver decided that at 3.24pm he didn't have time to deliver the parcel to me, so scanned some barcode to say he tried to make a delivery and left a card...

Weird with a beard...

I can understand that filtering through CVs and getting feedback from phone interviews can take some time. I can also understand that people may be away or on leave, so there may not be time to discuss candidates and decide who you're bringing in.

But seriously now, should it take two over two weeks to let someone know whether their phone interview will lead on to a face to face? It's not asking much, is it?

Grrrrrrrr....When the number of spam comments on your blog passes the number of legitimate comments. Can I send it back, and send everyone else's spam to them as well?

Thanks corona. The comment about "feeling like one" was cuz I was a bit down cuz I got into a spat with my girl... The feeling of being on edge with someone ya love isn't exactly material for being level headed and polite. :/
