That sucks Simon. I know how you feel. I've had 4 months without a twinge, been lifting heavy weights and doing loads of sports, then I turned awkwardly last Friday reaching across to pick up my laptop (I'd also jarred it a bit stepping of the kerb the week before) and my back went pop! I don't mind so much when it goes during sports, but when I just turn and it goes, then I get really annoyed and down about it!
I find comfort that you guys and girls whom train much harder than me suffer the same. My back tends to go by sneezing or twisting for something but never when working out or training. Is that Sod and his pain-in-the-arse Law again or what?
Yep, that's his law all right! The last 4 or 5 tiimes my back has gone it has been due to me turning awkwardly or reaching across for something or bending over awkwardly, never through doing heavy deadlifts or other strength exercises. Aside from the first time it went, which was during me stupidly doing at set of Superman back exercises without a warm up, the only times I've aggrevated it working out, have been when it has already been giving me a bit of pain and I've ignored it!
Well if you want to come live in Scotland I'll let you do all the heavy lifting you want ..... I don't use coal though. My house has gas central heating.
sandan returned to our dojo and now i have to train in the same dojo as him and his latest conquest.
and i also wanna apologize to a mod for using the caps in my glasses rant. I knew caps are against forum rules, Sorry, didnt even realize I used them til just now when i read my post again.
After clearing the drive no less than 5 times this week I finally managed to free my car from its icy tomb and inch my way to work (I don't think I left 3rd gear even on the duals).
Anyway, here's the GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I'm not trapped in the snow in the car park at work...
Found a scheme to pay for a guitar that actually works allowing me to get a decent one, go to the shop, tried it, loved it, had it wrapped and boxed along with my new amp and then my parents are declined the scheme.
Waited about 50 minutes for a bus to arrive last night on the way home from work and when it arrived it didn't stop. Managed to flag a bus down some 15 minutes later and apparently they've been told not to stop if they think it is too dangerous because of the snow and ice... EH???!!!
Then this morning, I figure, screw public transport and I de-iced the car, only to get stuck as I reversed out of the drive! Son of a...
I'm sick with a head cold...and one of my core muscles really hurts...I don't know how I did that as I haven't been doing any heavy exercise...I think it's the internal oblique in left side but I can't really tell..
after promising myself to get to bed earlier than last Friday (when I was sewing until 4.30am) just finished an essay to post tomorrow but I'll be lucky to get out of bed by midday again...
